True Story.....with no photos.

It's those Front Yard Cats again!

You know they're ALWAYS in OUR garden.

They come into OUR back garden at night and
sometimes STEAL our toys.

Why, just the other morning as we returned from our
 Early Morning Walk,
Jenny was outside....with those cats...and told us she had to return one of our rope toys.

But, back to the story.

Thursday morning when we went out at 5 a.m.
Dui had been trying to get us up at 4.
one of those cats was STILL in our back garden.

Facsimile of said cat.

Well, we surrounded it!  Yes, all three of us!

The only way out was up, so it scrambled up a tree and
onto the  next door's roof!

Then it raced for its OWN front yard!

We started telling everyone in the street about it
and SHE made us come in.

Later we went to our friend Millie's to take our Christmas photo(s).

When we got home, SHE didn't close the front gate.
Bella and I, Roxy, escaped!

SHE doesn't usually worry, as we live in a Cul-de-sac. We only go next door looking for cats and come home.

This time we FOUND ONE!
We chased it up a tree across the street....YES!!!

Re-enactment
We're not sure if it was the morning cat or another.
That didn't matter.....high five.

It was fantastic!

(Dui was still strapped in the car and missed the adventure.)
SHE's been more careful about the gate since.

Thanks Blogville

We've been part of the Blogville Community since March 2010  and we've loved every minute of it.

We love all the fun and meeting new dogs and peeps from
around the world.

SHE often prefaces a statement with 'we know a....dog/cat/pig/crab

in ................ who writes..................'

(Adds authority to discussions.)

reject Christmas photo
We always get smiles, chuckles or even tears from your posts;
 confirmation that we all face the same things;
and learn so much about the world.

So we just want to say THANKS to everyone!

Tuesday...

After several days of high temperatures, we had rain last night and it brought cooler weather today.

In addition to our early morning walk,
we went to the sports grounds.

These Eastern Rosellas were feeding quietly until we got out of the car.
We chased all the birds, then started to play.

Sweet little Dui----yeah....

 We had a fantastic time!

The Watchers...

Know what we're watchin'?

Dui and Roxy.  Bella is watching from the front window.
 That CAT!
He was in OUR front garden and we yelled at him to go home.
This is what he looks like close up.
One of the three front yard cats sitting next door and nearly in our garden.
Well, we survived yesterday.  It got to 44°C/111.2°F.
After our early morning river run and clean up,
we slept in the A/C and
had some cold treats.
Kibble frozen in Vegemite flavoured water.
It's supposed to get cooler as the week goes on.

Give Sarge the Bird...

Warning: Long Post
We thought we'd join Sarge's reminiscence of  Giving the Bird....
for Thanksgiving.

If it's one thing we have around here, it's birds.
Here are a few.

Every day, everywhere birds.

Sulphur crested cockatoo

Red-rumped parrot

Black Pacific duck

Magpies

Galahs

Sometimes birds...
Eastern Rosella

Little Corella

Cockatiel

Superb Fairy Wren

Emu

Pelicans

Kookaburras--Very Rare to find five together, we mostly hear them.

We chase them all.

"Do I have to come up there?"

It's 11 a.m. and already 39°C/102.2°F.
SHE says you've seen enough photos of us at the river and sleeping, so we thought we'd do the birds.

For Our Friend Bertie

We were just reading Bertie's post about his winter coat
 that turned into a beanie.

We wanted to warn him that patterns like this are circulating
 on the internet.

We're sure he doesn't want to end up looking like a sheep.

However, knowing about his interest in everything scientific,
we think he (and the knitter) might like to sport
beanies like this during the cold weather.
We can just picture them  walking through Duthie Park together with matching beanies.

And now a warning for you guys who are
facing the Polar Vortex......

Look at us!

We are being FORCED into being outdoor dogs!
Now, don't get us wrong, we like being outdoors
and we like being indoors.
BUT,

We don't like being FORCED to be one or the other.

We think we should be able to CHOOSE.

We don't like closed doors.

Especially, when there's a stranger IN our kitchen, doing stuff under the sink,
 near our food bowls.

Dui-man.....

The ring-tail scottie!

Dui has a light, brindle ring around his tail.

Of course, after some wild games at the river
,

Dui, Chloe and Roxy

it's hardly noticeable!

After several days of hot weather, we awakened to a cool, rainy morning.
We still got to go to the river.

The Gardener.....

Notice how the garden in the back has been dug up.

We're experiencing Blogger/Computer/Internet problems.  It's extremely slow and we're having trouble commenting, as well.
We are reading but may not be able to comment.
